Back to You

It has been years since you last set foot in your homeland. You thought that running away from everything was the solution. It eased your heart for a while but as the months go by, your heart got heavier. You kept asking yourself if it was the best decision. To calm yourself down, you lied to yourself and said yes. But the calming feeling was only temporary.
“You don’t have to do it this way,” Mino muttered in a low voice.
You just kept quiet and continued packing your bag. He came over to your side. You stood up; wanting to walk away but he grabbed your wrist. His warmth seeped through your skin. There was an adrenaline rush in your body, you couldn’t explain it. You wanted him to let go of your hand but you didn’t want him to do that either. Your feelings were on the fence. You just wanted to get away from everything, from him. But, you also wanted to stay by his side all the time.
“Just stay here, with me,” he whispered once again.
“So that you can hurt me more?” you replied coldly.
Your heart aches even more as you recall each broken piece of memory. You felt angry. You felt upset. You were confused by your emotions. But you wished that you could have taken it all back.
“I held it all in for so long, Mino. And this is what I get in return? I’m sick of everything. Don’t you know how much it hurts inside?” you shook his hand off and glared at him.
"I said that I was sorry! What more do you want from me?" he shot back.
The fighting. The screaming. The tears that rolled down your face. The tears that rolled down his face.
"Please. Don’t go ______," he begged.
You wanted to take it all back. You wished none of it had happened. If none of it happened, both of you would happy together. But right now, all that was left were the broken pieces to the unfinished situation.
"Stop it," you muttered.
"Just stay," he whispered.
"Stop it,"
"Please," he begged once more.
"Stop it okay! I’ve had enough of this. I am not falling for this anymore. You got me so many times but not this time. Just let me go," you walked out of the door.
But he held onto your hand. At that moment, you had to make a decision.
The decision that both of you made led you to here. But it was painful.
“______. Just think about it again. Please,” he whispered.
“If you love me, let me go,”
“______,” he gripped your hand even tighter.
“If you love me, let me go. Please,” I looked at him with pleading eyes.
The tight grip around your hand finally loosened. At that moment, everything changed. In a blink of an eye, you were on the plane, running away.
It was the most terrible decision. You were homesick. You always had thoughts of going back to see him. But a part of you made you stay because you didn’t want to see him at all. But you missed him terribly. You missed having his fingers intertwining with yours. It felt as if his hands were made to fit yours. You missed the warmth that would always envelope your frame. You missed having him by your side. But it is long gone. You have no one by your side.
You got your luggage and got out of the arrival hall. You are finally back home but you don’t even know where to go. When you walked out, you spotted a familiar figure. As you got closer, you got a clearer image of the person.  You just ran up to the person and embraced him. It was your first instinct. You felt his warmth enveloping your frame. You took in the familiar scent. You started sobbing quietly onto his shirt.
“Mino, I missed you. I don’t want to run away anymore,” you whispered in between your sobs.
“It’s okay. No matter where you run to, I’m always here for you. I’m sorry for what happened then. Let’s work this out together okay?” Mino replied as he brought you even closer to his body.
